BAZZONI

Wildlife Habitat Woodlands

The Premises are located in Little Compton, Rhode Island, outside the village of Adamsville.  The Premises are forested and lie within a complex of deciduous forest that continues south, west, and east.  Forested wetlands lie southwest of the Premises.  Low and medium density residential development currently abuts the Premises to the northwest and southeast.  Residential development immediately north of the Premises also includes a substantial area of grassy pasture.

Based on the examination of historic aerial photography, it appears that the Premises were used for agricultural purposes sometime prior to 1939.  The 1939 aerial photos, the earliest for the State, show sparse and brushy second growth covering the area, indicating recent agricultural abandonment.
